It has actually been longer than that. I first came here when I was pregnant with my son, in 2001. Back then I had a different profile. I don't even remember the name I used... after my son was born I had little time for artwork and dA during those first years.
I came back eventually, stayed for a longer while - made many friends, collaborated, started groups (before we had the dA groups you see on here today) - networked, made new friends, grew as an artist, found art opportunities - then left again.
So what have I been up to since I last was here? I've been growing and evolving on a personal level and a professional level. I've written some amazing art workshops and online courses. I've had a few local art shows and became the resident artist in a local art gallery for some time.
I've also been evolving my online magazine into a nonprofit (See the links at the top of this journal). Below gives you a bit of what it is all about.
What began in 2014 as a small online magazine is now in it’s evolutionary process. Creative Sacred Living is nurturing its growth into a nonprofit organization and community.
Creative Sacred Living aims to re-connect people through spirituality and ecological awareness to the sacred essence inherent both in our own selves and in Nature, the presence of planet Earth as a being in Her own right, and in the evolution of a science based cosmology.
Recognition of our spiritual connection to nature is vital to the well-being of ourselves and the planet. Knowing and honoring the sacredness of Earth and the life she supports helps us acknowledge our own place within the living eco-systems of the planet. When we do this we can experience a deep sense of belonging that comes from embracing the interdependence of all life.
We see caring for and respect for our Mother Earth, who provides life and nourishment, as Sacred. Through creative thinking, and sacred living we aim to live deeper and more meaningful lives for ourselves and all living beings.
One of the aspects of the nonprofit is an online university. This is the newest stage. We have two courses so far and a few more in the works.
Our newest course is A 5 week online journey for men and women beginning September 1st
In this course:
- We will explore the sacred relationships we have both within and without.
- We will explore ways of nurturing relationship to self, relationship to other, relationship to all life on earth
- We will learn through inner exploration, outer projection, creative thinking, and intentional living how we can re-vision and manifest a future that includes the sacredness and interconnectedness of ALL life on earth, regardless of culture, status, or religion.
Earth and Self came forth from the same Sacred Source and share a reciprocal relationship with each other.
The well being of our planet and our selves depends upon a healthy ecosphere, and this in turn depends upon the kind of relationship that we as sentient human beings create with Earth and all the life that it sustains.
